Day 2 - Remembering

Remembrance Day is a national holiday in Canada. They hold a morning service and everyone wears the poppy flower on their chest.

Waking up late, I cycled to Brighouse Town Hall, where the service was being held. I joined up with Tita Marie and Tito Joel and watched the service unfold. Uniformed cadets, veterans and current-serving men and women stood at attention while a voice in a thick Canadian accent described the significance of the day. After wreaths were laid, we watched as men and women from various arms of the Canadian armed forces marched their way down the street.

Tita Marie and I reluctantly taking a photo at the Remembrance Day service.

Tita Marie and Tito Joel showed me around the local mall at Brighouse. I got a SIM card for my phone and bought some much needed gloves for cycling.
