Hiking in Murchison Gorge & Monkey Mia

We woke up & explored the beautiful coast. A hike in Murchison Forge broke up the day, and we spent the afternoon hoping to see dolphins at Monkey Mia.

Frank saw a red kangaroo, so he chased after it off the path. He came back without any photos ☹️

We stopped at Murchison Gorge for a hike. I’m the sweltering heat & a pack of +20 Filipinos on our tail, we made the 4.5 km hike that gave us a panoramic view of the Gorge.

Luckily we got ahead of the crowd & didn’t have to line up for these photos. This is called Nature’s Window.

Monkey Mia is a beach resort that has dolphins regularly approaching the shore to interact with the tourists. Monkey Mia has morning shows where they feed the dolphins (I think) & so you have a greater chance of seeing them. But we saw a couple & Frank filmed one swimming along beside him.

We camped at Whalebone Bay, windy as shit. It blew the clothes off our backs. Our tents were shaking so violently, it felt like we were going to fly away.

Set up my solar panel to charge my phone in the afternoon sun.

Dinner was Thai Chicken Curry straight from a dehydrated pack. So delicious!
