Day 153 - The Cove

On this Easter Sunday, John and I spent the morning flipping the side that our fridge doors open on. It definitely helps to have the right tools. John bought a hex tool, but it didn’t quite fit one of the screws on the door handles. Apparently there’s are metric and imperial sizes for hex tools 🤦‍♂️

The doors used to open from the left, which didn’t flow well with the layout of the kitchen. Now that it opens from the right, it’s easier to access and really brings the Feng Shui into alignment. We’re expecting our bank accounts to grow handsomely as a result.

After lunch John, Jack and I cycled some 17 km to Deep Cove in North Vancouver. The ride there was fairly flat and easy, but once we crossed the bridge to North Vancouver, most of the journey was shared on the road with cars.

Deep Cove felt like a holiday home community— a small park overlooking a harbour of boats. We saw a person swimming along the shore. It looked like a good place to escape to and relax.

After taking a moment to appreciate the cove, we headed back the way we came. We split from Jack just on Broadway and Victoria, so that we could grab a cinnamon bun from Grounds for Coffee on Commercial.
