Day 10 - The Bachelorette
I went downtown to have the front fender installed on my bike. Speaking to the store manager (Rumen), we got to talking about looking for work. He asked me to send him my CV— even though it was heavy on the career experience side, he was still interested in my background.
While I waited for them to do the work, I signed up to the Vancouver Public Library and spent a good chunk of time there working on my design portfolio. I sent Rumen my CV, throwing in my experience behind the counter at Myer.
I met up with John for lunch at a Korean restaurant near his workplace.
It was a surprisingly sunny day today, so I wanted to spend as much time outside as I could.
I collected my bike; Rumen said he’d be keen for me to work at the store in late February when the business picks up after Winter. I’d totally be up for working as a bicycle mechanic!
Coming home, I indulged in watching the season finale of The Bachelorette (AUS) through the lens of the YouTube channel “The Friendly Jordies”. I always seemed disinterested at work when the team was talking about it— but I enjoyed watching someone make fun of the show. 🤷♂️
