Day 1,071: Sunday dates on Main St

Ben looks at his phone while we wait for our food to arrive.

We cycled 13 km up-hill to Forecast cafe, on Main St for lunch. We wanted to spend our Sunday out of the house, enjoying the niceties of Vancouver.

Forecast is quite a large cafe, with plenty of tables, benches and high tables, as well as a patio overlooking Main St. They have a small lunch menu of burgers, salads and wraps, coffee, beer and cocktails. What’s great about Forecast is that they close at 10 PM, so it’s a great place to go for drinks or a coffee late at night with friends. It used to be a Starbucks, which closed down during the pandemic lockdown. I’m glad it did, because Forecast is a much needed replacement.

Ben refills the bottle with dish soap.

Afterwards we stopped by The Soap Dispensary to get our refills of dish soap and hand soap. We prefer the tangerine for dishes, and the cedar wood & bergamot for hands.

I received my second booster shot of the COVID-19 vaccine, which covers the Omicron variant, as well as my flu shot for this season.
