Day 122 - The Spin Class
Steve’s a developer at work, who also happens to be a spin instructor! That was one of the first things Nancy mentioned when she first introduced me to him. So I finally made a plan to join his spin class and invited Julian to go too. Emily and Negin was also keen, but on the day Julian and Negin had to drop out at the last minute.
COVID-19 is still in the air, but the gym and classes were still open. Steve was considerate and brought wet wipes for the class to wipe down the machines before we use it.
It’s tough. I’ll hand it to people who go to spin. You do make it as easy or as difficult on yourself as you want to. But ultimately I realised that spin isn’t for me. I’m introverted when it comes to exercise. That’s why I like to cycle to commute. Run by myself. Go to the gym alone. And swim with just me in my own head. Spin and group fitness classes have too much stimuli that I find overwhelming. I had fun, though. It’d be cool to hang out with these cool cats after COVID-19 gets destroyed.
