Day 356 - The goodbye of Michael

Peter met Michael on Bumble BFF— the only instance of a genuine friendship that I’ve seen come from BFF. And I first met Michael about a year ago, when I was invited to an all-you-can-eat shrimp dinner with 9 other people and some YouTuber that Jack was dating at the time.

All-you-can-eat shrimp is grossly overrated. It felt like a shrimp-peeling sweat shop 😂

Michael had moved to Vancouver from Toronto with his partner Artemio (Arty). But their circumstances changed and their feelings towards their friends and family back home grew stronger. So they made the decision to move back.

We had a farewell for Michael and Arty on Saturday, 15th August at their place, which ended up more as a farewell for Arty.

Arty flew to Toronto to start his new job, whilst Michael remained in Vancouver to pack up the apartment. For 2 months we got to spend stolen moments with Michael.

A Vancouver life all packed in a box.

Banh mi’s stop Needle Peak.

Dinner at Anh and Chi.

On the evening that Michael flew to Toronto, we had one final dessert at Passion8. And while we shat on the expensive $5 tea, poor service and out-of-stock Mango Tango, we still had fun because of good company. Goodbye Michael (and Arty)!

The ☝️‘s are for the 1 star we would give this place.
